GENERAL
INFORMATION
A truly
accurate prediction of our weather would require consideration
of the following:
- tides
- temperature
- relative humidity
- wind speed and direction
- distance of the Gulf Stream
offshore
- width of the Gulf Stream
- PLUS the "big"
weather systems and the
effect they may have on the preceding factors.

Some of these are
predictable, others are not. Gulf Stream width & distance
offshore are observations given in weather reports. The Gulf
Stream is like a river held in place by water. It takes a river
many years to shift course; the Gulf Stream does this in just a
few hours.
