PADI Open Water Scuba
Instructor Course
Are you
looking for something extraordinary? To do something
others can only dream of? To help people transform
their lives? To open doors you didn’t even know
existed? All of this, and more, awaits you as a PADI
Open Water Scuba Instructor. When you take your PADI
Instructor Development Course (IDC) in Key Largo
with Ocean Divers, a PADI Career Development Center,
it will truly be a life changing experience.
The Fun Part
It’s about life transformations-both yours and those
around you. The fun part of instructor training is
interacting with course participants while creating
friendships that continue long after the course
concludes. You’ll begin networking with other
professionals and begin to explore professional
scuba diving jobs worldwide. You’ll also have the
opportunity to continue your professional education
by participating in
PADI Specialty Instructor
Training Courses,
which train you to teach specialties after
instructor certification.
The
Challenging Part The
challenging part of this course is your personal
commitment to the training. The course requires
you to complete all the self-study Knowledge Reviews
before the course begins and to prepare daily
assignments for teaching presentations daily.
Organization and dedication are key.

What is a PADI Career
Development Center?
A PADI 5 Star
Career Development Center (CDC) is given to PADI
5 Star Instructor Development Centers (IDC) that
dedicate their businesses to professional
development beyond regular instructor training.
Career Development Centers offer vocational
oriented continuing education training to prepare
individuals for dive industry careers and provide
job placement services within the dive industry.
Students taking programs through a PADI Career
Development Center can be assured of the highest
level of education and a level of commitment from
their Instructors to ensure their success.
Students may also bypass certain prerequisites by
taking a career program offered by a Career
Development Center that cannot be bypassed by a
regular 5 Star IDC.

Thanks for your
leadership and
tutelage in this
IDC. Your passion
for diving and
training divers - beginners to “Georgia”
status folks - with your willingness to
be taught
shows rare
qualities found scarcely
in any field. You
have blessed me
with more than I
expected.
Thank you
Doug Deweese
