Join Ocean Divers in our quest to limit the impact on our local reefs from these invasive predators. Lionfish are an invasive species that have a HUGE negative impact on native species and habitat. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) encourages people to remove Lionfish from Florida waters to help limit negative impacts to native marine life and ecosystems. They can be speared, caught in hand-held nets or caught on hook and line and there is no recreational or commercial bag limit. Ocean Divers would like to help divers and the ecology by taking hunters to out of the ordinary Lionfish Hot-spots and eliminating this threat.

The cost for this unique 2-tank Lionfish dive is $80 and includes Air tanks and weights. Divers are responsible for their own Spears, Nets, and Containment units.

Requirements: Divers are required to have a pole spear or hand net and collection containment such as Zookeeper or catch bag. Puncture resistant gloves are highly recommended. Gear Up with proper equipment here.

Bring your catch back to dock and Sharkey’s on-site restaurant will ‘cook your catch’— YUM! 1lb of fish prepared 4 ways with sides for $8-$12.  Call Sharkey’s at 305-453-0999 for information and pricing on fish preparations.
